Cruinniu na n'Og 2024
Come and join us at the North Mayo Heritage Centre
Saturday 15th June, from 10am
Pigments in Nature: Hapa-zome
Using an ancient Japanese technique called Hapa-Zome (literally meaning ‘leaf-dye’ in Japanese) we will forage in the woods collecting natural materials. Using a small mallet or stone we will hammer-out the natural pigments on to cloth so we can create unique, individual
and personal designs inspired by the natural environment around us.
There are 4 workshops throughout the day, each lasting approximately 1 and a half hours. This is a free activity suitable for children from 6 years.
