WHO WE ARE

The North Mayo Heritage Centre is a not-for-profit social enterprise and charity dedicated to promoting the rich heritage of the region. As a not-for-profit organisation our funding is used to maintain and develop the work we do including supporting local communities, local jobs and volunteers.

We provide Genealogical research for the North Mayo diaspora with access to over 1.2 million records. We also sell fresh produce from our certified Organic garden, which is one of the oldest in the country, and we also deliver an annual programme of cultural and heritage events, workshops, educational activities and training courses as well as exhibitions throughout the year.

We have been awarded the An Taisce Green Flag every year since 2019, and our looped walks and café are open all year round. The Centre has a series of workshop and office spaces, and also provides for community events in our community hall.
