We are launching the new Friends of the North Mayo Heritage Centre membership scheme to support the work of the centre and its core mission of preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the region. Today this diverse group comprises our most loyal supporters who continue to greatly enhance the life of the centre.
Friends enjoy many benefits, including discounts and special invitations to North Mayo Heritage Centre events throughout the year. Friends have access to an unparalleled programme of events including guided exhibition talks and cultural tours with members of staff.
What our Friends mean to us...
The vital funds generated by the Friends of the North Mayo Heritage Centre provide essential support to, facilitating the production of our ambitious exhibition schedule, the presentation of unique and interactive educational programmes and the continuous upgrading of facilities.

How the Friends scheme works...
When you become a friend of the North Mayo Heritage Centre you pay an annual membership fee which entitles you to a range of benefits. There are three levels of friendship available to our local supporters, detailed below. Details of membership for our overseas supporters can be found here. Membership is renewed annually, in January. All Friends receive a membership card.
All Friends will receive invitations to the opening of new exhibitions, and the Annual Friends Garden Party. Additional benefits for the different levels are:

Our Supporters Overseas
Both historically and in more recent times, Mayo has a rich history of emigration. The Mayo diaspora has spread across the globe, but the ties and links with home persist through the generations.
We welcome Friends from overseas to our membership numbers, and extend the benefits of becoming an overseas 'Friend of the North Mayo Heritage Centre' to them.
